Our Rector

In January 2007, we welcomed the Rev. Beth Royalty as St. Clement's first new rector in more than 20 years. It's an exciting and energizing time in the life of our parish.

Welcome

Special message regarding the recent Haiti earthquake:
As we process and grieve the results of the destructive earthquake in Haiti, we will be keeping in touch with our Haiti mission partner; Floresta/Plant with Purpose.  Here is a link to their blog that gives up date information of their involvement in Haiti.(then blog site here).  If you want to give financially to help recovery in Haiti, there are a number of organizations already doing fine work there that are seeking donations.  Episcopal Relief and Development is one very effective way to donate - ERD has been serving those in crises for many years, and already has stable organizations on the ground in Haiti.  Money donated through ERD goes directly to those in need.  You can donate and find out more information on line:  http://www.er-d.org/.  Another blog to follow belongs the The Episcopal Church's missionary in Haiti, the Rev. Lauren Stanley. Her site is http://www.gointotheworld.net./

A Message from The Reverend V. Beth Royalty
Rector, St. Clement’s Episcopal Church - St. Paul, Minnesota

Whether you are new to the Episcopal Church, returning after a break, or have always been involved in the Episcopal Church, we welcome you to our community. St. Clement’s Episcopal Church is a thriving, energetic Christian community that seeks to know and love God through Jesus Christ, and in faith strives to live out God’s calling in our individual and communal lives in our parish and in the world.  Through worship, fellowship, education and outreach, through prayer, music and action and in joy we seek to know God and to know ourselves as God’s beloved creation.

Living out the via media, or “middle way”, that is inherent to our Anglican and Episcopal heritage, we prayerfully look for ways that the Holy Spirit is revealing God’s love to us.  Young or old, ordained, lay, singles, families, “empty-nesters” - seekers all are welcome.  We hope that you will explore the vibrant community within these 114-year-old walls, and join us as we grow in faith and love, and proclaim “by word and example, the Good News of God in Christ.”    (The Book of Common Prayer, page 305)
