Our parish is a place to renew and expand our faith together

There are many ways in which we can and do gather as people of faith at St. Clement's. We worship together on Sundays. We learn together in the Christian Education programs. We serve together in our social-action programs. We get to know each other at Sunday coffee hours and in our small-group meetings. There are also special times during the year when we gather to nourish our faith and community.

St. Clement's Libraries

We have two libraries at St. Clement’s.  The Okie Library contains books for adults and young adults, and is in the library off the parish hall on the main floor.   The Children’s library has books for children from pre-school through fifth grade, and is located in the undercroft near the office of the music director.

Books may be borrowed from either library.  Please look at our circulation policies for the Okie library and the Children’s Library for information on how to do this, and for information on how to return and donate books.  Books in the Okie Library are arranged by call number.   Those in the Children’s Library are by general subject, then by title.  As an example, Bible stories are grouped together, and then arranged by title.

Our catalog is listed online.  You may browse the catalog to see what books we own, but you cannot request books here, nor can you check them out, return them or see if a particular title is checked out this way.  Books are grouped into different collections: Your LIbrary (adult books in the Okie Library), Children's Library, Young Adult Library and Archives. To find books in a particular collection, click on the down arrow next to "Your Library" at the upper left of the page and choose which group you wish to view.  To find out what kind of books we have in a given collection, click the "tags" button near the top of the page on the left hand side. This gives you a list of all the tags, or subjects, for which we have books.  Please note that not all books, particularly fiction titles, are in a collection.  To see the titles for each tag, simply click on the tag.  To go from that back to looking at everything in the libraries, click the “x” to the right of the tag.  You may also search the catalog by entering what you are looking for in the “search this library” box in the upper left corner.

Materials in the Children’s library use a different labeling system.  All have a “children’s library” tag to give their location.  In addition, they are tagged with their general subject, such as “saints” or “Bibles.”  We have children’s books in other places in the church:  the sanctuary; the nursery; the pre-school room; and the 1/2/3 and 3/4/5 (or the groups closest to these, depending on the year) Godly Play rooms.  These books are also tagged with their location, but they cannot be checked out.  These books have a spine label of S, N, P, 1 or 3, to make returning them to their proper homes easy.

St. Clement’s maintains a wish list of titles we would like to see added to the library at http://tinyurl.com/st-clements-library.   You may also find it by searching for the “st. clements library” on http://www.amazon.com .   Do not use an apostrophe in the church name, as Amazon’s search engine does not recognize that character.  If you know of a title you would like to see added, or if you have any other comments or concerns, please send the information to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
